Formally established in September 1981, the Jerry Dyhrkopp Iowa Great Lakes Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS) has played a vital role in celebrating and preserving the rich heritage of antique and classic boating in the Okoboji area.

Today, we proudly host the annual Antique & Classic Wooden Boat Show in Okoboji, Iowa—an event that brings together passionate boat owners, collectors, and enthusiasts to celebrate the craftsmanship, beauty, and history of vintage watercraft. Held on the last weekend of July, the show offers a unique opportunity to experience these stunning boats up close and connect with a community dedicated to preserving maritime heritage.
